PaisaSaathi AI ("we", "our" or "the app") provides educational information about budgeting and personal finance. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have when you use our Android app and this website.
1. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, the app may process:
- Account information: such as your email address and name if you sign up or sign in.
- Information you enter: budget, expense, income and savings details you choose to add.
- AI conversations: questions and context you send to the AI assistant to receive educational answers.
- Device and usage information: such as device model, OS version, app version, crash and diagnostic information, and your IP address, handled by the services we use to run the app.
- Advertising information: see Section 5.
We do not ask for, and you should never enter, banking passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, card PINs or other authentication secrets. We do not collect your precise location, contacts or SMS messages.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate app features and your account.
- To generate answers to the questions you ask the AI assistant.
- To keep the app secure, fix bugs and improve reliability.
- To show advertising that helps keep the app available.
- To respond to support and deletion requests, and to meet legal obligations.
3. AI services and third-party providers
To answer your questions, the app sends your message and any context included with it to third-party AI services (for example, OpenRouter, which routes requests to an underlying AI model provider). Those providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies. Please do not include sensitive personal information in AI chats.
4. Firebase and data storage
The app uses Google Firebase services for functions such as authentication and storing app data. Data is processed and stored by Google Cloud/Firebase on our behalf under their applicable terms. See Firebase privacy information.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), IP address, device and OS information, app information, and your interactions with ads. This may be used for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, analytics and, where permitted, personalised advertising.
- Consent: where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland) we ask for your consent through Google's consent management platform before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice from the app when that option is offered.
- Opt out of personalisation: on Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in Settings → Google → Ads.

Ads are provided by third parties and are separate from the app's educational content. We do not sell your account or budget information to advertisers.
6. How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the app (authentication and hosting, AI processing, advertising and diagnostics), when required by law, or to protect the security and integrity of the service. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required for legal, security and operational reasons. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated data as described on our deletion page, except where retention is legally required.

9. Children's privacy
PaisaSaathi AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity first.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Third-party websites and services
The app or website may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, providers or legal requirements change. The latest effective date is shown at the top of this page.
